The epitome of discreet and compact portability, the Aptus takedown rifle can go from “box-to-built” in 60 seconds or less. Once assembled, the Aptus rifle with the red, white and blue motif finish will scream “Freedom” to everyone in the area! While it may look like a standard AR pattern rifle on the outside, the insides are truly unique. A patented internal recoil system takes the place of the standard buffer and recoil spring found on traditional ARs. This allows the stock to fold for storage or use in tight spaces. A non-reciprocating left side charging handle brings the rifle to locked and loaded status in an instant. The upper and lower receivers are machined from billet aircraft aluminum for a precise fit. With the 5.56 NATO/.300 AAC Blackout Two Barrel Set both barrels are 16″ with a black nitride finish. The 5.56 NATO barrel has a 1:7 twist and 1/2″-28 TPI A2 flash hider. The .300 AAC Blackout barrel has 1:8 twist and 5/8″-24 TPI muzzle device. The barrel indexes and attaches to the receiver with a large barrel nut. No tools are needed. Simply line up the gas tube, insert the barrel and hand tighten the barrel nut. Slide the free floating rail over the barrel and attach it to the barrel nut, push the cross pin and engage the tightening lever. Your Aptus is assembled in 60 seconds or less. The fire controls are in the standard AR pattern. The 15″ full-length Picatinny M-LOK rail indexes to the upper receiver and provides plenty of space to attach the accessories of your choice. When disassembled the barrel extension and gas tube are kept safe and undamaged with a protective cover. “Aptus” is Latin for “ready” and with the Aptus takedown rifle you can be ready in 60 seconds or less.
